In light of the tragic earthquake in Haiti, the 4th graders in the Sacred Heart Religious Education class of Ms. Lisa Davenport and Ms. Amie Ogden's felt that it is important to assist the many affected people in Haiti. A garage sale to raise funds for the Haiti victims was held on February 20, 2010 at Pomona Avenue in Coronado. Clothes, books, toys, baked goods, and lemonade were sold which raised $1,150.00. The funds were presented to Father Michael Murphy, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church, and will be sent to the Catholic Relief Services.
